Embryonic stem cell research has increased in importance and became one of the most studied fields today. It is very interesting what embryonic stem cell research can do and new discoveries take place at short periods of time, so your baby can benefit from a huge advantage for his health, in case he will develop a severe disease. Embryonic stem cell research is often debated as many do not agree with taking the eggs from a fertilization clinic and then use them for medical purposes. Many do not know that embryos are not taken from a woman’s body, but they are made through fertilization, so this does not mean taking the life of a baby or making an abortion.

Embryonic stem cell research means using embryos that have only few days old, but this is another thing that many people do not know and they consider embryonic stem cell research not ethic at all. Embryonic stem cell research began in the 60′s, but it developed a lot since then and huge advancements have been made. Embryonic stem cell research is so important and many scientists want to make new discoveries because can cure many severe diseases or at least improve the health of a patient who suffers from a severe disease, so this is a very important thing.

The situation and opinions about embryonic stem cell research are very different from one country to another and this also implies religious matters who influence people, so they do not support embryonic stem cell research, considering it strange or even a sin. On the other hand, we must take into consideration that many diseases may find a cure with the help of embryonic stem cell research. Embryonic stem cell research continues and maybe in the future we will discover the cure for incurable diseases, so mortality rate will drop and life will win. Today, there are too many people, even kids, that suffer from incurable diseases and they die too soon, so if their lives can be saved with embryonic stem cell research, then let it develop and discover the remedy that will save them!

Nowadays, the medical field has evolved up to a point that new breakthroughs are being discovered at the speed of light. One of the most important, but also controversial aspects, is the embryonic stem cell research. It all began in 1964, when scientists began their embryonic stem cell research on a type of cell from a tumor. Then, in 1981, the embryonic stem cell research continued on mice. It was only in 1998 that specialists managed to complete a embryonic stem cell research on humans. Since then, they have been improving this technique every year, but the controversies about this subject prevents them form carrying on with their work.

This is why it is so important to  support the embryonic stem cell research. People should understand that in the future, the embryonic stem cell research can lead to the treatment of many diseases, and the death rate will be significantly lower. Throughout the years, people have participated in many polls, and all of them showed that the population highly supports the embryonic stem cell research. Then why are so many people against it? There are even states in the US where the embryonic stem cell research was banned. Then, during the Bush administration, the president did no longer allow the researchers to touch the federal funds for embryonic stem cell research purposes. The private research was not prohibited, but still, even the pharmaceutical corporations could not afford to conduct the embryonic stem cell research much further.

In California, the 2004 voters approved a $3 billion fund for the embryonic stem cell research. Things did not look the same in Iowa, Michigan, South Dakota and Arkansas, where the embryonic stem cell research was strictly prohibited. For the embryonic stem cell research to keep going, people must show their support. After all, researchers are doing their best and they are spending all of their time conducting the embryonic stem cell research, for all of our sakes. If they manage to complete the embryonic stem cell research, the future of humanity will be improved forever, and medicine as we know it will never be the same.

In medicine, numerous findings can have important consequences when it comes to making the difference between life and death. Although some procedures can seem controversial, the results of various researches can actually determine the discovery of new cures, which can save lives. Although research in medicine is highly important, the methods used by specialists are sometime blamed, even if their work can determine some positive consequences on long term. Embryonic stem cell research is one of the most controversial fields of research at the moment.

Embryonic stem cell research has actually been banned in the United States for many years. Only in March 2009, President Barack Obama decided to put an end to the ban issued by the Bush Administration. And due to that decision, embryonic stem cell research is now receiving federal funding. The main reason why embryonic stem cell research was banned was actually linked to ideological grounds, as many seem to consider that embryonic stem cell research is not ethical and the findings in this field are not really able to determine the discovery of new cures. So, embryonic stem cell research is considered to be unethical, as it has been thought to be a crime against life. On the other hand, embryonic stem cell research can lead to the finding of different cures for some serious diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, diabetes, stoke, Alzheimer’s disease and much more.

Why is embryonic stem cell research considered to be so important? Well, the answer is quite simple. Embryo cells are well known to have the ability to reproduce any part of the cells in the human body. And this means that embryonic stem cell research can find cures to conditions which today cannot be treated. Millions of people all over the world can benefit out of the results of embryonic stem cell research. If mentalities regarding embryonic stem cell research are going to change in the near future or not, is something that can only be found in time, and also in time we will be able to know if embryonic stem cell research can really lead to the discovery of different cures for many conditions.
